COUNCIL WORK SESSION MEETING

FULL MINUTES
February 27, 2008
Those in attendance for the Council Meeting were as follows:
Mayor: Lois Salter
Council Members: Walter Anderson, Rebecca Spitler, Debbie Guthrie, Tom Kitchens, and Frank Lombardi
City Administrator: Tom Rozier
Deputy City Administrator: Leigh Threadgill
Wakefield Beasley & Associates: Ed Palisoc, Lindell Sherrill
Urban Collage: Eric Bosman
Architectural Design Committee Chair: Barbara Carroll
Citizens present: 2
CALL TO ORDER
Salter called the meeting to order at 7:07pm at 4580 Berkeley Walk Point.
I. APPROVAL OF OR CHANGES TO THE AGENDA
Anderson made a motion to approve the agenda as presented. Spitler seconded the motion. All were in agreement and the motion passed.
II. GUEST SPEAKERS - Wakefield Beasley & Associates
Salter introduced Wakefield Beasley & Associates. Lindell Sherrill of Wakefield Beasley & Associates introduced the project manager, Ed Palisoc.
III. OLD BUSINESS – New City Hall
Ed Palisoc presented floor plans in various iterations up to the most recent, elevations and a site plan.
The work session was an informal discussion with feedback and questions from almost everyone present.
It was the consensus of Council that at least one if not more additional work sessions are necessary to review the results of feedback to Wakefield Beasley & Associates prior to presenting the plan at the March 15th Open House.
Council generally agreed to schedule the next work session for March 6, 2008 at 7:00PM at 4580 Berkeley Walk Point.
Guthrie made a motion that Eric Bosman attend the next meeting on March 6th. Lombardi seconded the motion. All were in favor and the motion passed.
IV. CITIZEN COMMENTS
No citizens spoke.
V. ADJOURNMENT
There being no further City business to discuss, Lombardi made a motion to adjourn. Anderson seconded the motion. All were in favor and the motion passed.
Salter adjourned the Council Work Session at 9:23PM.
