- Garbage and rubbish shall be collected from residential premises at least once weekly, or such other frequency as may be established in the City’s contract with the franchisee. Garbage, rubbish and recyclable items shall not be placed on the right of way more than 24 hours in advance of pick up, and all containers shall be removed from the street within 24 hours after pick up.
- The composting of yard trimmings is encouraged. For collection, yard trimmings may not be placed in or mixed with any other type of municipal solid waste and should be placed at curbside for pickup on such days as designated for this service.
- All standard containers placed at the curb for collection shall be securely tied and kept in a sanitary condition by the owner or person in possession or control thereof. Standard containers shall not be filled beyond the point at which the bag can be securely tied.
